AZ people have been real quiet for a couple days now

Just had my first communication from Tesla Fremont. A trade in specialist text and email for my current payoff amount and per diem tax for the trade-in. It updated on my Tesla page but still no VIN. This was done a month ago with the SA.

I'm starting to lose faith that we are going to take delivery this weekend. I think we both have white/black cars coming to Phoenix and ordered them just a few days apart from each other. I did get the text Monday evening that the car should be leaving Fremont within a "few" days, but nothing since.

Hope that means things are moving. As others have said, the (horribly annoying) posts saying “Just ordered Sunday and have my delivery scheduled for Friday!!!” just push the knife in further and twist it a little bit more for those of us waiting since 1st week of August and longer.

Does this pathetic ordering process happen at the end of every quarter? Or are we special...

The only reason anyone puts up with this is because the product is THAT GOOD. I certainly won’t forget this fiasco, even after delivery.

I ordered 8/6, got the same Monday evening text as you, then yesterday morning the “tentatively scheduled” delivery text for Friday. Almost simultaneously the VIN populated in source code and was showing below the RN# on the car manage page We'll see if that holds...

I saw that specific vehicle since yesterday and passed due to interior color and lack of FSD. Glad you got the shortcut to a car! Probably at least 1 week out for rest of CA (best case scenario).

Just FYI.... FSD is a software update and can be added to any car. So if you find one that meets all your criteria except FSD go for it, they can add FSD for you.

yes, bad customer service!!! Good thing the product makes life a little easier!!! Since my test drive if the P3D, I don’t like going to the gas station anymore lol

Not any more! Saw this and jumped on it. They matched her to my account after confirming 2 YR supercharging would be included. I'm out the waiting game, and breathing a sigh of relief knowing I should have it this weekend. Thank you for posting this kind sir

Messaged my SA today - he expects that I'll have a VIN this Friday. He "guaranteed" that I would have my car by end of the month. Messaged the delivery rep also and he said the same...... by end of this month.

I asked him about the 2 years free supercharging a few days ago and he said it just needs to be processed. Because of the long wait, he's confident that it'll be added in by the time I pick up the car. I ordered 8/10, white/black performance. Picking up at Santa Barbara dealership. It's been a long wait and being without a car for 5+ weeks has been rough, but I'm glad it's closer to the end.

I ordered a MSM with black interior on Aug 1. Scheduled delivery date was originally Aug 20, and my reservation page changed to September 10 then it was updated again to Sep. 27.
Today I got my VIN finally! I'm far West coast (Alaska).

Spoke with SA today she also said a bunch of model 3's are headed to Los Angeles on the 24th as mentioned earlier. Still no vin or any changes on my account page. I'm cautiously confident about next week. Also the fed just lowered the interest rate so i thought i'd check with my credit union. The APR rate online has dropped from 3.99% to 3.49%. I emailed my contact at the bank and asked them to confirm the new rate.

That's true, the FSD upgrade cost is the same whether it's added before or after delivery, right? But honestly, it was the white interior that I couldn't do .... my dirty ass would make it into a black interior in no time, so have to hold off ...

Yeah. Pretty sure you can even order after delivery but gotta pay cash if you do that.

I haven't had a car for three months, hence why I pounced. Interestingly enough, as soon as they matched it to my account it added FSD, which I had on my original reservation. I still have the option to remove it before pickup. I love the white interior, looks sharp with W on W or any color, for that matter. I think a lot of West Coast will get fulfilled next week, crossing my fingers for you guys.

FSD recently was increased to $6k from $5k. If you look in the source code the after-delivery price is $7k. The way Tesla prices things, who knows what it will actually end up being.

Are you sure about that? Was considering removing it from my config to pay with a credit card after the fact and get the points.

Those of you that are still waiting - check the local inventory! got an email today from Tesla - went to the site and looked, and here in TX there were at least 6 P3+ models in inventory. Just checked again - and there is just one left - it is white with white interior at the Dallas SC.
