I took delivery of my White on White P3D and had several problems:
1. Major paint flaw on driver side rocker panel
2. Minor paint flaw on passenger side rocker panel
3. 6" scratch on white dash trim
4. Driver side A pillar headliner loose and won't stay in
5. Loose stitching on the top of the steering wheel
6. Loose stitching on parts of the seats.
7. Hood offcenter maybe 2 mm to the riverside (super minor)
8. Front bumper not quite aligned with passenger fender (detail shop said they can fix when putting on pdf)

Below are some pictures of the paint flaws and the dash.

Service has been giving me all different answers on what to expect from the Due Bill and what to do. The car went to a shop to try to detail out 2 of the major paint flaws to hope to avoid having to repaint the driver and passenger side rocker panels, the passenger one was able to be fixed but the driver side one needs to be repainted. I had spell stealth put on the whole car and that still couldn't hide the flaw so now I'm hoping Tesla will pay for me to take the car to a paint shop of my choice rather than theirs to have it repainted. It's been a real pain in the but and been such a bummer. I have a brand new car that I can't even drive because it looks like its going to have to go to a body shop for a few days.

Think I should avoid having their paint fix the artifacts under the paint if they will have to repaint vs polish. But this door edge should be touched up to avoid rust and chrome trim can be replaced. Got my model three performance that I ordered at the end of July this past Friday. What a magnificent machine. I love this car. The performance aspect is fantastic and equally cool if not more so is the software and the geek tech factor and everything else. And also being green, helping to find new battery tech, and making a difference to our environment really rocks. Thank you Mr. Musk and all the Tesla folks. You rock.

Well, I guess I'll start the new quarter waiting game. Checking tezz.la, I don't see any White/Black P3D's in inventory. So I'm guessing I'll take delivery in 1 to 2 weeks if they're still pushing out cars for the US, or in December if they've moved back to European builds. Let the torturous wait begin!

Looking at some of these posts.. is it seriously taking about 2 months from order to delivery on Performance models?

Yes. in most cases it is not 2 months but there are a few of us that everything just goes wrong. The biggest mistake i made was sending Tesla the bank check prior to the car being at the delivery center. The car was delayed and they set me up with a new VIN. My bank was not having it. They wanted a full refund or delivery of the original VIN. By some miracle my original VIN showed up today and my SA & Delivery specialist immediately linked my reservation back to the original VIN. I picked up the car today just shy of 8 weeks. It would have been about a week earlier if I didn't arrange payment early causing this bank fiasco. Moral of the story, do not pay for the car until you can confirm it is at the delivery center. Just because you have a VIN doesn't mean you will get it. Tesla seems to prioritize inventory cars over your factory order so another VIN with your same specs may come sooner.

Just ordered white on black M3P, pretty nervous... working out loan details right now! I have never been interested in electric but y'all brought me over to the darkside with all the raving, and I swear everyone and their mother with a Tesla knows how to post a good video on YouTube lol.

From Boston, MA

09/28/19: Ordered M3P BLK/BLK + FSD

09/30/19: VIN# was assigned (440XXX)
since many ppl said new VIN should be 5XXXXX, so I checked VIN# thru some VIN's info website and found that is VIN# for 2019 (K) but with 3 y/o age (not sure why?)

10/01/19: VIN# has disappeared
emailed to showroom asking about new VIN#, they told me that they are still waiting for it. They were bloody busy with almost 100 Tesla orders to delivery yesterday (monday - ending 3rd quarter)

10/05/19: Ordered accessories from Tesla online shop (all weather liners and cargo mats (front and back)

10/06/19: Got email with tracking number (estimate 7 days delivery)

still waiting for my new toy - noting else to do besides searching for more interesting accessories ha-ha

9/17: Ordered M3P White on White, FSD
9/28: Called me and said my car was ready for pickup the next day, I was traveling for a week and wasnt able to pick car up for 7 days. I was making arrangements and another person called me back and said if I couldn't pick it up in 3 days they would release the VIN. I let them release it and now I'm just waiting with no communication.

I ordered a white on white performance (Canada) on October 2nd, and I'm not too optimistic after reading the comments above.

Do we know if they are still building NA cars right now?

In general, I thought performance cars would be given priority since Tesla's margin is higher, but it looks like the opposite is true... They take longer.
