Perils of no spare tire

I recently had a punctured tire on a Saturday evening. I used the roadside service option in the Tesla app. After about 30 minutes I was contacted by a rep and a tow truck was sent. They had no loaner tires so they towed me 26 miles to the tire store which was closed until Monday. So I took an Uber to the John Wayne Airport 1/4 mile away and rented a car for 3 days at $298. The tire was on 3 months old and I had purchased road damage warranty so it only cost me the $34 to renew the warranty. I have since looked up after market spare tire kits on Amazon $389 including the Jack and wrenches. Too bad Tesla doesn’t include a spare tire.

Got Modern Spare and it takes up 2/3s of my Model 3 trunk. Gotta have it if you gotta be there and Tesla is your only available car, since matching tires so hard to find. Maybe get a way to mount on a roof rack? Will leave in garage when a towable distance to back home, and when getting there can be delayed a couple hours when there is a surprise.
