PG&E Rebate: Address of Registered Vehicle

Hi All,

I am trying to apply for the PG&E EV Rebate and noticed that one of the requirements is:

• The applicant must have paid the vehicle's current registration fees and the vehicle must be registered in California to the address on the applicant’s PG&E account.

I currently reside in CA but my M3 is registered to my previous CA address.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Do I need to go to the DMV to change my vehicle's registered address or will PG&E not care? If I need to go to the DMV, what documents would I need to bring?

This is the first car I have ever bought so please excuse the noob question.
