    Interesting artcle. I think that they make a good point thought. Having an electric car that is exciting and attractive could make all EVs seem cooler. Plus it will make other manufacturers get off the dime and make their products better.

    That article is spot on.

    People who were buying Motorolla, samsung, nokia & others did it not because they didn't want an iPhone, they bought it because they could not afford the real thing. Same thing will happen to the electric car industry.

    This paragraph could explain why PG&E would run this article:
    Tesla must be one of the few major new manufacturers served by PG&E. They've got a lot of reasons to see Tesla succeed.

    I'm guessing that their power bill is in the range of 15 million per year in full operation....??

    Maybe they'll do a Solar City installation on the roof down the road. It seems to have a big rooftop to install them on.

    Solar City panels on Tesla and SpaceX should have already happened by now!

    How about before Solar City's IPO?
    As part of the Supercharger announcement?
    Before the rebates expire?
