So this happened.

Driving on 80 in SF bay area. Following the pickup in front on autopilot, suddenly autopilot backed off the car in front slowing quickly. I was thinking of overriding it when I saw the car in front of me rear end stopped traffic in front of him. Autopilot radar was able to see traffic i could not, glad I didn't hit the accelerator. Watch closely and you can see the distance to the pickup increase right before impact. Luckily slow speed collision.

The car will often see the car in front of the car in front. I even noticed once that I got the warning tone and on the screen, the red car was the car in front two away from me (and not the car directly in front).
