Is anyone seeing a good 4-6% in phantom drain? I understand it is colder out, but 4-6% a day seems like a lot. What is the car doing! I am not sure if it is just this build. I am on 50.1

    I think it's Sentry.

While parked at the airport, mine was losing 4-6% per day.

    4-6%? That’s it?

Where do you live, sunny California?

    Is this a joke?

4-6% a day is ridiculous. I lose 1 mile every 2 days. Which equates to about 0.15% a day. And it’s 17F outside right now (but my car gets to sleep in a cozy 45F garage).

You don’t lose miles just sitting asleep in the cold unless it’s insanely cold. Like below -26F.

Sentry and Summon will kill your battery.

6% is 20 miles on my car, that’s more than my commute. That would be like an ICE SUV losing a gallon of fuel a day.

    Clearly you don’t have a pre-facelift model S or early Model X

Mine's about 4% loss/day with sentry mode on & summon off with BlackVue 1CH recording. (ver 50.6)

This is a tough dilemma. Sentry and possible YouTube fame or a topped off battery?

It seems like beside Sentry (and/or 3rd party dashcams) that people could clarify which of these options they are using:

The option isn’t available on mcu2. Sentry wasn’t running as the car had 5%, went to 3% in 5 hours

I also experienced significant phantom drain recently over the past few weeks. It's been about 3-5% overnight; normal is <1%. No sentry mode and no summon assist.

I looked through every option to see if there was anything that would obviously be causing it but I couldn't find anything.

Pre-conditioning and Energy saving off always connected with cause drain.

Third-party apps that keep your car awake could be a problem. There are options in Teslafi that allow the car to sleep. If they are not set correctly, your car will never sleep causing drain.

You did not mention if you have Summon Standby on which will drain the battery.

Nor did you mention if you run apps.
