Don't even see why this is news. I saw the Phoenix at an Auto show and at a CARB meeting in San Diego. They are based in Ontario CA and these cars drive all around LA. Why is it a mule?

Bummer :frown: I had high hopes for Phoenix and Altairnano but they've both been pretty quite for a while now.

Yeah, it's sad to loose another possible entry in the EV market place, but their business model seemed shaky to begin with.

It'd be nice to know the real inside story on this one. They seemed to have all the pieces in place and then just didn't execute. Since it's just an 11 instead of 7, perhaps it will come back to life. I thought they were supposed to be shipping trucks to Hawaii about now.

Yes, not sure exactly what happened. My guess is the poor density and high price of the Nanosafe batteries didn't translate well into the automotive applications. Altair is pursuing military and grid storage as far as I can tell.

I recently purchase one of this SUTs from a tow yard, it only has 76 miles on the odometer, it’s battery is dead and I’m looking for a charger for it, any assistance would be greatly appreciated, if you could please put me in contact with a former owner of a Phoenix motors SUT that would be great.
