Tried all, including have my wife reset the screens and didn't work until I changed my password from what has been working ever since the app came out. M password had a "!" At the end, and once I removed that it worked. Strange it worked since the app came out but stopped a few days ago. Oh well, all is working now. Now it's time to bother my wife while she drives again!!

Not sure if this is normal. Car finishes scheduled charge in morning and has been sitting plugged in for a couple of hours. Open IOS app, and after vampire dIn, wnatto bring car back up to normal charge, but there is not a start charge option. So I select range charge, but app does not indicate it is charging. After closing app and waiting a bit, open app back up and see car has charged slightly. Select normal again, to ensure it does not go above normal charge range. But I have no indication it has done that other than to watch the app and see if it stops at a normal charge.
I there not a start charge button now after the scheduled has been set up? Or is this not normal. Thanks.

If you have the scheduled charge set, you have to disable it to do the range charge trick. Ideally you've set the scheduled charge so that it will still be charging when you want the climate control to be on for preconditioning. Otherwise you have to disable scheduling.

I had an idea for a feature on the App today after forgetting to plug in last night (I know, I know). Basically, the car is geo aware and knows that I like to charge up at night at this location so wouldn't it be cook to have the app give me an alert at some user defined time when it's parked but not plugged in? Especially when it's in a place with scheduled charging. Something like, "Your Model S is scheduled to charge tonight but it's not plugged in."

I'm not saying it's a rush item (far from it) and I'm sure it's something that should be user-selectable but it would be great to have that. I could set up a nightly reminder through other means but that's going to get annoying eventually because I *almost* never forget to plug the car in when I get home.

Just saw an update for the Model S app for iPhone. Its one fix that it calls out is - "Improved support for special characters in login credentials". Hopefully this fixes the big issue people have been running into.

I downloaded the update. It does not, unfortunately add any new features nor does it fix the bug where Rated range is shown instead of Ideal range. My car is set to display ideal range but in the app, while it says ideal range, it actually displays the lower rated range. :( If they were going to update the app, seems to me this would have been a really easy fix to make at the same time.

I have a chevy volt. It has a plug in reminder in the onstar app. Exactly what you are Describing. It will also text you when it is done charging, and when the charging is interrupted. The app also has a navigation screen where you can search for an address, restaurant and then download the directions to the car remotely. It also displays tire pressure for each wheel. While I love my model s there are a few items that I was surprised were missing from it versus the volt.

I have the OnStar app for my Suburban and it's generally pretty good. I like the tire pressure thing and being able to send directions to the vehicle. Interestingly, mostly I use that functionality in the car while driving. Basically, my wife looks something up and sends it to the car because I can't add a destination until we stop!

I've resorted to simply setting a daily reminder for 11pm to check to see if the thing's plugged-in.

The Volt iPhone app is very good and feature rich.

I had the exact same idea. Actually, last summer I told Elon about it as I strongly believe it's a brilliant idea.. ;) Elon was not that excited at first but I hope I was able to convince him.

iPhone App

Been waiting on my MS since I ordered and paid my deposit June 15, 2009. We (non-Signature) Reds needed a lot of patience. But I am supposedly getting close, with a delivery date next week. When I got my VIN, I tried to light up the iPhone App, but got the message : "No Vehicles Linked to This My Tesla Account". And I have continued to receive that message for weeks. I asked my Delivery Specialist several times, and today he came back with a response that the App won't light up until I take delivery of the car. They don't want me honking the horn or turning on the lights or overheating it. Haven't I been reading about other "owners in waiting" with live Apps, using the app to track the progress of their build, etc?

If you have a VIN, the car with VIN should've shown up on your app by now... But remote access should be disabled so that you can't do anything.
