Next week on Wednesday there is a National Drive Electric event at the Sherway Gardens supercharger: National Drive Electric Week Event - Etobicoke

For any Model 3 owners that want to come, is anyone interested in doing a cable swap mini-meetup? I can bring a USB-C cable to exchange for a Lightning.

I'll be at the Brampton event on Sunday if anyone else will be there. Say hi!

Uh, you're about 5 months too late.

As for the USB-C connector, I'm looking for one as well, but I don't think there's one available - the dongle dilemma.

[edit] - So, there's one for sale on Tesla's shop website for $45. Not cheap, but neither is any cable for an iPhone.

I don't use USB-C at all, only lightning. Was thinking about doing the swap, but NOT anymore.

I will just go ahead and get a adapter for UBC-C female to Lightning. In the long run, USB-C will be the standard.

Currently, has lightning to USB-C adapter that comes with one of the cable I brought, so I'm all set for long term.

I do realize that event is over, but there's often local folks looking to swap cables. Just look at the thread on the Model 3 forums - it's pages and pages of trades.

Yeah, they've had it listed for a while with a USB-C option. It's $45 for the entire charging kit, which I already have. Sadly, mine came with the wrong cable. Should just ask next time at the service centre for a new cable. Hopefully that would be less than $45.
