Phone Shows Status "Charge Port Door Open"

So after 10 days of ownership I took my Model 3 to the service center with my laundry list of things to be resolved.

On the list was the very first thing we noticed, as we took delivery and that is that on both my and my wife's phones (Both Samsung Galaxy S8) the Tesla app shows that our Charge Port Door is Open. According to the vehicle though, the door is closed. It is only the app showing it is open. It has been like this since the moment we took possession of the car (Dec 26th).

According to the service center they are not able to resolve and think it is a problem with either the app or both of our phones.

Any others seeing the same problem?

Model 3 Software Version - 2017.48.15
Tesla App (Android) Version - 3.2.3
Samsung Galaxy S8
Android Version - 7.0 (Nougat)

I think everyone has that same problem. Just search the Model 3 forum, or read the FB groups.

Yea it's definitely a problem with the app. You can call the API manually and it shows the correct door state, so it must be how the app is displaying that information on the UI.

Yup they flipped a bit. It worried me at first thinking it was left open.

Yep, both our iPhones are doing it too. Glad to know it's not just us!

Does it show as closed on your phones when it’s actually open?
