More pics of my 2022 Model X Plaid. Have had the car three weeks as of today, and have driven 1000 miles (received the car with 16 miles on the odo.) Fall deeper in love every day 🥰

HI, First of all congrats with your new model X deliveries.

I was wondering if the interior lighting has impoved with the new model ? Is it now RGB and can you select a color ? Or is it still the same still as the "Legacy" model X.

I thought Tesla removed most of the ambient lights with the new door interior design. More like the Model Y door (from the inside perspective). I changed out the foot lights for blue ones front and rear, and am expecting them to remain on, but dimmed with ambients turned on. I might have imagined all that though. Poke through the owners manual for a better description.

They modified the ambient lights -- at least compared to my legacy 2019 MX P100D. They're more tastefully done, but understated compared to competitors with all the Vegas nighttime bling. You can't change the colors... they're just white (and I happen to love them). Here's a few pics of the interior of my MX Plaid at night, including mood shots of the rear entertainment system and the entry / exit lighting on front and rear doors. Really feels more like a space ship now than ever before. Bottom line -- subtle improvement over previous MX lighting, but elevated experience.

Thanks for the info and pictures. Nice to see that it has improved. RGB with colorpicking would be nice but hey, I'm happy with the single white in my Model X also. I've changed alll footwell lights in my Model X to blue too :)

Well that is nicer than I expected. Tell me, are the foot lights dimmable (multiple brightness levels), like the Model 3?

I absolutely love the blue exterior; looks awesome; congrats. To my eyes in person and in photos, the blue seems to make the back end look stubbier. I can't quite figure out why; maybe an optical illusion because in white exterior, the stubbiness is not as pronounced to my eyes. I'd still probably go with blue just to get away from the typical white that I have been doing for years... Whatever the color, the car is awesome.
