Not my car, but I was at the SC dropping off my PD3+ for my first replacement set of tires, at 51,700 miles and saw this there.

Guy chromed the standard (aero) wheels, of course, with the covers off. I thought they looked nice, just not for me.

I think those are actually wheel covers for the Aero wheels. Notice that the center cap is sunken in and doesn't sit flush? I think Mayde used to offer them in Chrome, this is probably them.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea. Probably a good one, since the cost would be readonably much lower than chroming. Not to mention probably better for the environment, as well as offering the ability to ‘change back’ to original looks pretty easily.

Very minimally...and only recently since i upsized to 265s from 255s last week. Main reason for it is to get a proper alignment...my previous rear tires melted via camber wear after i lowered the car.
