How long should I plan for taking delivery of the car. If they say pick up at 10:00 how long will it take before getting on the road. Perform the checklist, walk about, set up the settings etc, do the paperwork.

Thats kind of up to you. All that "walk around, checklist, setting things up, etc" is all you. "The paperwork" for signing for the car is like 7-10 minutes. If you wanted to, you could be on the road to wherever you area going within 15 minutes of your delivery specialist walking up and saying "hello".

As long as you wish to take a look at fit and finish including paint.

according to SA you should be on the road in 15 mins. But you can ofcourse inspect the car for hours at your leisure.

I was in a bit of a hurry when I picked up mine, I was definitely in and out in 15 min tops, probably closer to 10.

It was a little weird just driving off not having spent an hour arguing with a finance manger or signing a mountain of paperwork, it kinda felt like I was stealing it.

Thats one thing that I loved about the time when I went to a dealership for the first time. No haggling. I walked in, asked for number on the most basic M3. The dude working there told me to hang out a minute. Handed me a print out and highlighted the options. Thats it.

Can I put cash down the day of my delivery at the Tesla dealership?
