I barely got any sleep from all the excitement but was able to make it to my delivery appointment at Marindustry place around 10 minutes early. I had a trade in that I was driving to the appointment. Luckily right in front of where I parked my old beat up car, there was a magnificent blue model 3. Took a quick look at the vin, see its 417xx, and know its my beauty.
Before I even talk to any delivery specialist I take a nice long look at anything wrong. Looked for any scratches, panel gaps, spec of dirt ETC. Literally couldn't find anything wrong (was it love goggles I dont know). I go ahead and talk to the delivery specialist waiting in the front door for me named M. We got all my paper work finished up, and he gave me a review of the car. He was polite and I feel he would have given me a lot more instructions if I didnt already tell him I have been looking at how to handle every part of this car for the past year lol. Anyways he just linked up my tesla keycards, showed me a brief overview of the phone app, and let me be to enjoy my car settings. I was in and out within 20 minutes. I was in no way rushed or forced to leave faster, I just decided my car is ready and took it out. I feel I could have stayed there all day if I needed to.
Now, let me tell you that first drive, it was the best, smoothest, quickest, most amazing drive I have experienced in any freakin car. I have no clue what people were saying when they said you can hear gravel underneath when driving or that it wasnt smooth at all. Maybe it was the fact I was coming from an 11 year old honda civic, but DAMN, it was so smooth and fast. I'm in love with my car and all I can think about is driving it again as it charges in my driveway.
I know theres a ton of horror stories about Tesla delivery, but they are truly the 0.3% of the deliveries. I truly believe everyone I saw that day was having a similar delivery experience as me, truly excellent.
PS.
I looked at the side door sticker to see my manufacture date. it said 07/18 so that means my car was literally made in the 2 weeks between my configuration and delivery. Truly amazing, i didnt expect that and expected a June manufacture date.
