My reply. Magan, I am looking forward to it but I can tell you right now I am going to take longer than 15 minutes to inspect before I accept. I dont expect any problems as I see most customers on teslamotorsclub.com are very happy but 15 minutes to inspect a 57K car is not acceptable, if you want to schedule a longer period some other day that is ok. don

From the customer lounge go down the passageway. They do some final detailing in the bay seen in my avatar pic. I had about 15 minutes alone before they caught me and booted me out. Then you have your delivery time in another bay. I was initially concerned about time frame but, really, any visible issues you’ll see pretty quick. Anything hidden will show up later. She’ll connect your phone, show you how to close frunk, where tow eye and UMC is and you’re off after your photo with your car and a bow.

There is always an opportunity to take the car back.

You aren't stuck with a car you don't want if you find a problem.

You should demand they shut down the factory for an hour as a VIP tribute to your purchase. Don't they realize you spent several thousand dollars more than a loaded Camry on this M3, clearly you deserve to be treated like a Saudi Royal.

I received the same email for Houston delivery. I managed to stretch it out to about 30 minutes. I probably had more luck with a 5pm delivery slot at the end of the day. If you keep asking questions, they probably won't flat out kick you out, but if you're just delaying there, and they are waiting to put another set of cars in the delivery bays, yeah, they may boot you. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

I picked up my car today, the delivery specialist was trying to rush me thru the process. There was a bit of glue on the top of the roof and she was trying to tell me that it's ok.

Yes i am getting fed up with this kind of service. I have been in the service business for 35 yrs and can afford a tesla because i think i treated my customer with respect.

I am hoping the process will be different over here, once Model 3s finally arrive at our shores - next year. Especially as there won't be people queueing up to get their car in our delivery centers, I am sure.

Pre-setting a time limit like 15 minutes, or even 30, is just putting unneccessary stress on the customer, for many of whom buying a car in that price region is a huge event. Not once when buying a car, even a much cheaper one, was I put under pressure by the delivery specialists at the event. Many people (and especially older ones) just need time to inspect the car properly.

I know in the US Tesla is under a lot of stress to get as many Model 3s into the hands of as many customers as possible. But that's not the fault of the customer and should certainly not put him in such a stressfull situation where he is rushed through the delivery process.
There might be many people who are perfectly happy with a 15 minute time window, but those who are not should get the time they need without getting the feeling they should have to apologize for it. Rather the other way round actually.
