I don't know what that means......to me, lumbar is an area of the human body, so I don't know where I'd look for PPF on a car

Sorry -- I was mentioning the removal of passager lumbar from the seat -- which has been talked about in other threads but seems more likely nothing to do with adding PPF / Mudflaps and more to do with usage and possibly to the shortage.

Passenger lumbar support missing from new MY

People accepting delivery of new MY are getting cars without lumbar support on the passenger seat. See this:

Ahhh.......while the button is blank, when I press it, I can hear and feel the lumbar support moving -- so I guess it works I wasn't sitting in the passenger seat at the time, but I feel confident in my assessment.

I have seen people are purchasing screen protectors. Is that really necessary?

Its not so much protection IMO as it is to keep the glare down and fingerprint smudges minimized.
Although protection isn't a bad idea especially if you have kids.
If your screen gets cracked that's got to cost some $

All of the above. Much less glare and don't see the fingerprints (Spigen matte). Very easy application.

I decided to save myself $351 ($325 + tax) and not purchase the Home Link Automatic Garage Door Opener for the MY. Instead I just used a couple pieces of double side 3M tape and stuck a clicker to the back bottom left side of the screen.

I realize there is a "security risk" in keeping the clicker in the car, but I rarely will park the MY in the street as it will most likely be in our garage when at home. I live in Philly, so we definitely don't keep a clicker in my wife's car parked on the street.

Dang, you guys are ahead of the game. I ordered all of my accessories AFTER I got the car. They all arrived while it was getting PPF done so it was all good

Don't feel badly - I didn't order mine until I'd driven it for a few days and got a feel for what I thought was missing.

I have only gotten a few items and agree might be worth it to wait a bit to feel things out for other 'needed' items

That said - I need the adapter on day one, and not really sure about the PPF/Mud Flaps as they have been coming with some MY 2021

That was certainly one of the more annoying purchases, I also feel like Tesla should/could integrate the USB hub into the center console I didn't even know there were USB ports there until I read about it and I did an over night test drive checking the car out for hours, the car seems about 95% awesome and then just 5% really weird but I'm still happy with my decision regardless
