When Tesla comes out with something better in a niche model, the value of the older ones drops quickly. Model S 85Ds, 90Ds, and 100Ds are holding their value relatively well compared to similar ICE cars. But P85Ds are cheap. The Performance market tends to draw in people who want the best performance and the P85D is now way behind the curve. A new 75D could have more range (the range when new for both is close, but a P85D will probably have some range degradation) and almost the same performance numbers with AP2.5/3 and other improvements.
The early RWD versions may not be as valuable in resale as the AWD and newer. Anyone following the story knows the early cars had some teething problems and Tesla made a lot of manufacturing changes.
I looked at Ebay sold listings for Model 3s. The bottom end is $44K for a RWD, VIN 7015. The top end is an AWD with 11 miles on the odometer for $56.5. There were a total of 25 sold. I filtered out anything under $10K as those were people selling their reservations. Some poor person paid $8200 for a reservation.
