Pillar Camera

From time to time, I have an error code indicating my camera (right or left pillar) is not working. I would not be able to use the auto cruise control. Happens when it is cold outside or when the humidity is relatively high. I made an appointment next week with tesla center (90 miles away.)

I got my Model Y PUP on November '20.

I've read other owners having similar issues with Tesla trying to fix some of them and ignoring others. Should I keep the appointment? And if it takes a more than a day, do they have loaner cars?

is there moisture in the housing/obscuring the lens when this occurs?

For me, this has occurred dozens of times on the left side. The SC claims it is normal and essentially unfixable, but it immobolizes numerous safety features whenever it happens.

I get it on either side based on the angle of the sun and how bright it is. basically camera is being blinded by the sun or a reflection. I think it’s showing up more right now based on time of year.

For me, it has been left-sided condensation almost every time. My SC (Smithtown, NY) claims this is inherent in the pillar's design, and that replacement will not solve the problem.
