Pilot and aircraft mechanic here. Alaska so you sort of need to be. Flew commercially in rural (bush) most of those years and in radial engined aircraft so left a big carbon footprint. Gotta love the sound of them though. Nothing like a Beaver on floats or skis to get you "out" there

+1 Flying through the mountains up there is great. You can almost touch them from the plane.

Got my ticket flying over the Knik glacier out of Birchwood. And you're right, the Beaver on floats is just a dream machine.
