When will the first Signature Model S be delivered to customers in Hong Kong?

I'll open the ball and say

Sunday, July 20th, 2pm, at a new combined TM HQ/showroom/service centre in the West side of HK, possibly in the Tsuen Wan vicinity.

Elon will be there, as well as press coverage from near and far.

The first 5 to 10 Signatures that day maybe, as MarkWJ suggested? 8 is a good number in Chinese culture, for luck and prosperity, right?

The period from 21st to 28th will be the rest of the Signature deliveries, while non-Signature deliveries will be in the first weeks of August.

That is what my crystal ball says, after polishing and recalibration.

I think they are gathering Signature cars in a bunch, for shipping them together (in containers). Let's hope that ship doesn't hit a typhoon on the way, what a shame if all those cars are smashed in one go.

Since they only registered 6 or 7 demo/test RHD cars in Hong Kong so far, they might be cautious to promise anything until they are more certain. As I mentioned in another thread: Hack Elon Musks calendar, see when it says "Hong Kong", and I am sure he isn't going just to try the Peak Tram or see the Big Bronze Buddha.

I think it is wise of TM not to promise too much. There has been so many delays already, it will be better to be conservative, only to give an earlier surprise delivery date - if possible. My original bet of July 12th is probably a bit optimistic - it is probably more likely to be the last third of July for the Signature deliveries, and the first third of August for the non-Signatures, so I just changed it to Sunday July 20th.

Two weeks to ship as far as I know. 2 weeks for TD? Why does everything have to be so delayed in Hong Kong, whether it's a new car to be registered, a drivers license or anything else that involves some kind of government entity.

I will update my bet myself now, but that will be my final bet, see post #1

Keep betting, I just made a post-dealine bet list. Later bets are worth less, as obviously, it gets easier to guess as we get closer (especially as Signature customers get actual estimated delivery dates)

Speaking of offline, can someone please report me for something so I get suspended for a few weeks? I've got plenty other things to do but cannot stay away here :crying:

Since the first date we know now is 24th (Sig #28), it seems it will be that date, or maybe just before.

How long was it in the UK, from first delivery, until the rest followed? I am aware now they didn't have Signatures as such - according to the forums - but in any case, if first delivery is around 23-24 July, when can the the rest of us expect delivery?

Shouldn't be that many weeks after - hopefully - and I am still optimistic rooting for first half of August for mine (#113, production, P46314)

Have you received your Wall Connector from them yet, DITB? No updates from Tesla for me whatsoever so really don't know what to expect. Until I know when exactly the car will be delivered to me, I can't proceed to renting a parking space just yet.

I got a call from my delivery specialist on Wednesday and I got my wall connector by Thursday evening (delivered by Ta-Q-Bin).
CCT, since your reservation number is almost identical to mine, I suspect you should get the call any day now.

I haven't received any wall connector. I haven't got a wall anyway, so won't need one.
