Plaid 21 Arachnid Wheel dims

Hey all, just got my new Model S Plaid delivered last week! In love! Car is a blast to drive. Ultimate daily!

I am looking to swap the wheels. Car was ordered with 21 Arachnid wheels, but just not really feeling them. Looking to go wit a 22" Forged to give it a better look.

Can anyone share the specs of the new 21 Arachnid wheels? They appear to be wider than the regular Model S.

Dealer mentioned they should be 21x9.5 Front and 21x10.5 Rear. Tire sizes are 265/35/21 Front and 295/35/21 Rear.

Can anyone confirm share some information on this? Also need backspacing.

The current ones should be the same as the Plaid, but not confirmed.

I saw that, but I do not think they are the same since those are calling a narrower tire:
245/35/21 – Front
265/35/21 – Rear

Ok I was able to confirm specs:

21x9.5 Front
21x10.5 Rear

+40mm offset for both.

I, as have many others, have been running 255/30/22 front and 295/25/22 rear for years. Some minor rubbing on the front, and none in the rear. I would bet that you can run the new setup on the older cars.

are you running a +40/+45 offset because i find that hardly unlikely as a +35 10.5 is usually required to clear the rear of a current model S.

So we have the rear offset at 45 per Tesla, 40 per Tsportline for the new arachnids.

Im leaning towards Tesla being accurate.

Own an S purchased 12/2020 with 21 inch wheels. Can someone please tell me the metal these wheels are made of? I scraped a front wheel on a curb and the body shop wants to know the composition of the wheel before quoting me a price to recondition. Thanks and appreciate the assistance! Ron

I'm sure there are wheel repair places you can go to and not a body shop. Your local Tesla Service Center may have one they could refer you to.

No need for a body shop. And no need for them to know if its cast or forged.
Also, its an easy fix.

Sand the rough area smooth with a dremel tool.
Spray with wheel silver paint.

I drive in the mountains in the winter and love the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06. The car kills in the snow, but these tires are great all year.

I see a lot of the 2019/2020 S owners who went to aftermarket 21's with 10.5 rear and 9.0 front width wheels. Many went with 285/30 tires in the rear and 245/35 upfront.

Would those be the recommended tire sizes for same size wheels, but for the plaid and new LR as well? Especially considering the front OEM 21" Arachnids for the refresh s's use 265/35 tires upfront?
