I noticed in my new Model S Plaid the center console light turns off if you fully open the sliding lid.
Is this expected behavior? Intuitively the light should turn off when the lid is fully closed, and light should turn on when half-closed or fully opened

That does sound wrong. I’d schedule service.Funny, for me when slider is halfway and cup holders are visible, the light turns on. Sounds like the variable in the computer was inverted wrong
SameWhat version are you on? I was on 2021.36.5.1 since delivery few weeks ago
...and counting. As a Tesla owner I've learned to let absolutely nothing surprise me anymore. This one minor mistake in the electrical wiring costs 10 hour of employee time and 3 hour of customer time, so far
My production date is somewhere in 10/2021. I suspect late in the month since I took delivery 11/1. The sticker on the door should just tell you month and year of production. eg 10/21 is not 10/21/2021, but is just 10/2021. I have the same date on my door sticker. Your service advisor can tell you the car's actual "birthdate" however. What's your production date? 11/2021 from your signature? Mine was 10/21/2021 according to the sticker on the door panel
