Plaid - front trunk open warning, trunk closed

Had the car wrapped, trunk sensor was disconnected to remove the bumper, but then re-connected. Now it constantly says “front trunk open.” Despite the trunk being closed. “Hood latch sensor requires service.”

Tried resetting without luck. Hood seems to open/close without any difficulty. Any ideas what to check?

You say that the hood was removed during the work, suggestion is to unplug and reconnect the hood latch sensor wire or the connector to the latch to see if this change the car behaviour. Can you get to the latch mechanism under the frunk apron panel?

Have you tried that deep restart (without removing 12V cable)? If you change your wheels settings under the Service tab (at least this wheel configuration menu exists on pre-refresh model) to any other size than currently selected then the car performs deeper restart. It would last about 2-3min., perhaps this would set the circuit to recognise that sensor again and it would know the frunk is closed. Remember to set the correct wheel settings back before you start to drive, it will restart the same way again.
