Just FYI, had the exact same issue and could not get replacement Michelin, bought a set of 19” tempest wheel, no issues, and the pirelli’s are widely available. much more comfortable and more range.

Did you get both front and rear? Could you kindly say the exact numbers for the 19" Tempest (front and or rear) if you have time? Thank you.

Yes I did get both front and rear, they are the one that comes standard.

The 21” tires for the plaid. They also scratched the wrap and possibly the hood on my car. They still have it so they can repair my wrap. They also put 47 miles on the car which I am not happy about.

Update: We found the rear toe settings to be within spec, but they were toed out. We brought them in to spec but with toe in. We will see what happens.

I would highly recommend up to 0.1 toe IN as the suspension now has a lot of rubber bushings that actually twist into a toe OUT around curves. Makes the rear a bit squirrelly

Happens on LOW or if you’ve gone lower using lowering links

My 2022 Model S Plaid had a right rear blowout at 5,000 miles on the sidewall. Tesla Service could not help me as they did not have the Model S Plaid tires in Stock. They also refused to tow my vehicle back to my home state even if I paid for the difference. I called Michelin Corp. direct and was told that they were out nationwide and that they did not plan to make more of these tires until later in the year. I have a brand new set of staggered Michelin Pilot Sport 4S's (with foam liner) for a Plaid sitting in my shop, same as what comes from the factory.

Good point, but needs to be weighed against the additional toe-in pulling effect during acceleration, forcing your toe to 0.2 or worse. Also, any static toe will cause extra wear on every tire revolution.

Happened to me too at around same mileage. I run the new ones at 42 or 42. And check the inside of all tires regularly. Same BS happened to my old e-Tron suv fronts. Heavy ass weight-Ronnie Coleman.
