PLAID Used market in 2022

How many of you think there will be an OK used market 18mos or so after the release? wife's lease is up 6/22 and I think I might give her my S if I can score a good deal on a used one instead of looking for another car for her (maybe a Y). What say you TMC members?

If there are a lot of current owners upgrading from their Performance Model S's to Plaid, most of those cars will be from performance enthusiasts that use their cars hard. Not sure that will be what your wife is looking for.
Not many creampuffs will be traded in for Plaid purchases.

Wife wouldn't get the plaid, she'd get my 2019 S and I'd get the fast one or maybe I upgrade to a P for a pretty discount

I have a P100 Dual Motor - I drive it gently most of the time, and I will trade it for the Plaid. So not ALL Performance models will have been thrashed...

Of course that is what you will tell your buyer. I like that you drive it gently MOST OF THE TIME

If first year pricing of model Y and 3 are any indication, plaid will drop in price after a few months of its launch. So just wait if you’re price conscious. Heck, MS LR prices are down more than 10K from May alone.

Yeah, exactly what I was afraid of, but it's inevitable, 80k for my car 9/19, 72k for my car better 9/20

hoping to cash in on this and pick something up closer to 100k used a couple years after launch.
