Plasti dip the emblems

I just got my 2021 Model 3 delivered on june 6, I am willing to plasti dip the emblems. I saw some videos on youtube. They use Blue Painters Tape to mask around the emblem. Is that blue tape same to use on brand new car? will it damage the paint when peeling it off? thanks!!

Painters tape wont damage the paint... that's what they use to mask off painted areas when you paint your house.

It won't damage anything and works great. Any residue it does leave will wipe off very easily. Plastidipping is super easy. Make sure to put a decent amount (4-6) of coats and go very light for the first two passes.

Painters tape will do no damage. Here’s photos of my emblems that I Plasti Dipped last week. It is very important to do very light coats and spray each one at a slightly different angle (top/bottom/sides)

I used blue painters tape. Should be fine since you are not leaving it on for hours or days.

Or you could do like I did and remove them completely! Front and rear T's are gone along with the Dual Motor badge.
