I found this small part that appeared to be falling out of the driver’s wing mirror of my M3. It was just resting at the bottom glass and I removed it easily. I tested the controls of the mirror and everything appears to work normally…any clue?

It’s the spring that helps with keeping the mirror’s motion smooth when being adjusted. Basically keeps constant pressure on the assembly so it doesn’t chatter or vibrate. At least that’s what I think it does lol.

It should pop right back in place. Maybe throw some epoxy on it for good measure.

BTW- the mirror just pops right out of its holder easy peasy.
