I would like to post a video by NHTSA warning not to text while driving. The article is in Italian but the video inside is in English. http://www.motori.it/attualita/18937/sicurezza-sms-al-volante-il-video-choc-della-nhtsa.html?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter:+Motori.it&utm_content=2014-04-10+Sicurezza:+SMS+al+volante%2c+il+video+choc+della+NHTSA
not only don't txt while driving but our wonderful multi purpose computer in the cars can become a real distraction for a driver, be careful out there!
I guess the technology is a little old in this UK video, but it's very, very well done. I made my kids watch it.
This article contains another interesting video concerning the matter of texting while driving. Volkswagen Anti-Texting Ad Is Brilliantly Simple, Incredibly Frightening: Video Mobile use is now the leading cause of death behind the wheel.
I was just musing the other day on what seems to be a relatively slow adaptation of hands/eyes free features on smartphones and other handheld devices. The death by electronic distraction has been going on long enough. We get something 'new' to pine for every couple of months in the way of candy, but the features are basically 'meh' and haven't changed THAT much relatively speaking.
