Plug HPWC into a NEMA 14-50 plug?

Thanks - great to know. Was there anything special to know/do when wiring the HPWC to a 14-50 plug? I presume you used an electrician?

While you can use an electrician I did it myself as it is a relativity 3 wire connection to a common plug. The reason I did this was I initially installed a NEMA 14-50 to charge via the UMC. but when an HPC became available at a bargain I added it. This also makes it quite portable.

So some further digging revealed that our Leaf actually can't charge via a Nema 14-50. I'm not sure if htat's because we only have the lower level charger or what. But, I decided to skip the NEMA 14-50 and just install the HPWC as intended - hardwired with a 100A breaker.

Oh, no - but we just use a regular 120V plug. Slow, but other than installing a J1772, it's our only option for the Leaf.
