Plug In America will host West Coast Inauguration parade with 30+ EVs - AutoblogGreen

PIA has announced their own "Inaugural Parade West: Plug In, America!" which will cruise through Santa Monica, CA on January 17. So far, PIA expects over thirty "EVs and PHEVs, including Teslas, numerous RAV4s (with tens of thousands of miles on each), Vectrix bikes, Chevy S10s and conversions.

How many are there in private hands? I thought they made something like 600 RAV EVs.

I think there are something like 300 in private hands. A power company in California owns like 150, I think.

You would also have to imagine that the numbers keep dwindling due to accidents and such. Even though they seem supremely reliable there must be some lost to extreme mechanical failure as well. Getting service for them is probably harder and harder.
