I want something capable of being fast, long range, carry a bunch of stuff if I need, and I don't wanna care about messing up the outside of the vehicle.
I think we're seeing the result of a pent up demand for a rugged EV, and not so much for a Truck itself. It's also a bit of a hybrid vehicle in that it's one part truck, and one part SUV. You can throw your cargo in the back, and still have it secure.
I like big vehicles where I can sit relatively high. I have a X75 that will be off lease the end of 2021. I may need something in the interim till the car is available. I ordered both the RWD and DWD and will decide when closer which one to buy. As I live in Florida, cold weather mileage loss in not a problem.
I have owned pickups before, but found them to be of limited utility and with a lot of issues. These include, but are not limited to: too big, used too much gas, too tall for kids, and not enough storage out of weather and under lock and key.
I almost bought a Ford Raptor years ago, but couldn’t justify the gas usage. This truck finally fulfills everything I’ve wanted in a truck. And yes I love how it looks. Absolutely love the crazy design.
Never thought I would buy a truck and did not expect to place the order prior to the reveal. Love the EV specs to price proposition and the look really grew on me. Covered bed and 6 seats arrangement makes this work for my family. The only problem we will now have two giant cars as my wife won’t drive this and she loves her X.
Really interesting results so far. Almost two thirds of respondents have never owned a truck before, not surprising. What is surprising is 12% fall into the full sized pickup / hard core truck guy categories. Of course this poll is not statistically representative, but as an indicator I find that fascinating. Keep those votes coming in! I’d love to see a few hundred votes cast before closing the poll.
Oh, and if anyone can tell me how to edit the thread title to insert POLL at the beginning that would be great. Because I’m a big fat dummy and forgot to do that.
I drove a truck for almost 20 years until I bought the Model 3 which I absolutely love. I am really looking forward to the cybertruck but I will miss my 3.

I always buy loaded 3/4 ton GM diesel crew cabs (hence my screen name). My 2018 Denali HD diesel will be due for replacement by the time the tri-motor cybertruck I ordered arrives
Disclaimer: posted here on behalf of my son-in-law, who reserved the AWD version of the Cybertruck after watching the last two minutes of the presentation, where Elon showed the bed in use.
He'll be trading in his GM truck.
I owned a Ford E-250 cargo van but not a pickup. Sold it when I went electric. Every now and then I gotta haul stuff but who wants to hire someone with a truck or rent one? And now with Cybertruck I can do it in style. And maybe stay safer while driving in Los Angeles.
Have a small acreage few horses...
Drive my truck to haul my horse trailer & flatbed hay trailer
have a car for daily driving, currently Model 3
Don't drive my 3/4 ton HD Diesel much due to the cost of operating it...
Have a reservation in but am truly waiting for more info.....
If it can pull the horse trailer and not lose 50% range I'm in
Then again guess I could just saddle up & ride home if my battery bale's on me LoL
