When I saw it when it hit the stage I thought "this is a yoke". But after a few hours of trying to find all the pictures available
on the web I'm already getting used to the extreme modern design. I think it is going to be a giant leap in car design.
Very cool to see these folks at Tesla taking so much risk to change the way we move around.

Exactly. I am surprised how fast I am getting used to the design and actually starting to like it. And I also thought it was a bad joke when I saw it for the first time. Now I am already able to imagine myself driving it around without being embarrassed :D ... like musk on stage when the window broke :D I love this guy! He is so authentic!

Alright guys, I bet looking at these two pics will change your mind about the Cybertruck. It is basically the F117 Stealth fighter jet on wheels. Just look at the roof line and the shape!! Even Elon's presentation shows that the F117 was one of their inspiration.

I think a lot of people will wrap the Cybertruck in Matte black color.

OR....maybe this picture would help too? Elon said stealth military boat was one of the inspiration as well.

That was my first thought (Lockheed F117 Nighthawk) when I saw the pics of the truck... second thought was if it was also efficient in scattering radar signals from traffic cops LOL.
Actually, if you pay attention to the presentation at the back of the stage. There was 2 seconds of the slide where they show pic of the F117.

I think for some people, they will start to like the Cybertruck design more later down the road.

I think I’m going to wrap mine in black/grey/white winter Camo. Cybertruck is both ugly and amazing at the same time. My wife and I agreed it’s ugly as *sugar* and we instantly ordered the tri-motor. Can’t wait.

I am so hanging truck nuts on mine.

It's functional, so you have to love it for that. A no nonsense vehicle. But when you drive one down the road no one will mistake of for a Dodge, Chevy, or Ford pickup. And it will gather crowds when you park, just like the Model X does every time you open the Falcon Wing doors. Which some X drivers do, even if they do not have anyone in the back (or so I have been told. I would never do anything like that. At least I would pretend to be getting a coat from the back seat....)

I ordered a dual motor and came into work to find 3 other coworkers ordered theirs too, with three others on the fence asking questions about how/where to charge, etc.

It’s somehow more popular than I expected it to be! Oh.. and wrapping mine in a black carbon fiber or matte black for that F-117 look.

Yeah, it's kinda ugly, though I suspect it will grow on me. Honestly, though, IDGAF what it looks like if it does all the things I want it to -- and if Elon tells true, then it will. I am excited not only for the on-board 110/220 + air compressor, but now also for the optional solar roof and camper configurations. Ready to become a modern-day nomad in this marvel of self-contained badassery. If only the one I want (and have ordered) did not entail a THREE YEAR wait. Crap!

I want to wrap mine in matte black with US air force logo on it. Make it look like the F117 stealth fighter jet.

I am by no means in the market for a truck. Never in my life would I ever think about buying a truck, until now. One of the features that makes the truck so appealing is the 9mm bullet proof exoskeleton. The only time I would need this feature is when I go on a road trip with my family. Knowing they’re protected as well as the vehicle being so sturdy convinced me I’ll own this truck one day. This is not to mention I love the styling, color and price.

I think most people have absolutely no idea how much an armored vehicle cost. If you buy a vehicle from any car company and send it to specialist company for bullet armor conversion, it could EASILY go above $100k. Now you can get the fastest truck in the world with 500 miles range AND bullet proof for $70k, huge bargain!!
