I think that is the rental. Sounds like his rental attracted every issue recorded in TMC...at least he didn't comment on wavy glass or wobbly side mirror.

For the record after this rental I definitely would not buy or suggest getting another model S.
get your money back if you can. This vibration problem is probably way more common than this little thread.

I got the mirror wobble. Only the driver’s side. passenger side was fine.

If I had to guess I would say it’s front motor Related. It’s very noticeable on smooth roads.

Can’t find anyone that reports this on a later vin, such as those 460+. MS or Plaid. Wonder if it’s just a bad batch of PoS?!

I drive most the time 77 ish on the highway and it seemed to go away. Don’ really know how to explain it.

The funny part is I know my car is sitting in KC, I have made A request for someone to reach out to me. Or at least text me back. Nothing.
Clearly not the car. Was happy to return the car and get back in my old 2019 performance. Smooth quiet comfortable. Thats when I realized maybe not all teslas are created equal.

Tesla asking me to keep my reservation another 30 days to re consider buying the car.
can’t even cancel with these guys. I said no test drive no buying period.
At the time I was wondering if 500 bucks and two day rental was worth it. Not that I didn’t believe the problems people were talking about but seeing them first hand was enough to realize I didn’t have the time or want this project at this time.
I understand no car is perfect but come on Tesla.

No surprises at all. This issue will likely be present in all Plaids to at least some degree. We need a way to make this front and center of Tesla’s to-fix list.
