Software updates that ensure the car can actually improve after you drive off the lot;

This, IMHO, is one of the biggest things I admire about Tesla Motors. It speaks volumes about how they're dedicated to their product after you've bought it, and I've never heard of any other car company doing anything remotely similar.

The roadster replaced .... nothing. It is just fun on wheels.

The Model S replaced a Lexus 450h hybrid. Haven't moved it much in the last year. About time to get rid of it. Any takers? (Europe)

Like I said....can't wait! I used to drive a 500hp Audi S4 that was highly modified and pretty flashy. The VW has been sucking my soul away for 4 years now.

Ours will replace a Ford S Max (2006) which I bought after the birth of our 2nd kid. Now, there are 5 of us and I wanted to buy an Audi A6 allroad but it was too narrow to fit 3 boosters at the 2nd row... then I test drove the MS P85 and I ordered straight away. Even my wife was convinced even though she didn't want to spend more than 40k€ for a car. Apparently the Tesla MS was more than a car!
