There’s lots of discussion on this, and I understand what is “quite capable” mostly depends on your definition of it.
To be used safely, AP requires constant attention and occasional instantaneous intervention. And it is still unable to anticipate many situations and react as appropriately as a driver would. It reminds me of what it would be like to let a six-year-old child drive your car.
I truly hope that it’s capabilities continue to improve. But at the moment, I don’t find it provides me any stress relief while driving. Quite the contrary - I just find it aggravating and more stressful. Others, of course, may have a different opinion.
