I've been holding off on buying a new truck for about a year and have been waiting on the unveil.

The specs of the truck are exactly what I was looking for but it's going to take some time getting used to these looks. I suppose I'd still take it over a Rivian, so at this point you can say I am still deciding.

Specs are impressive, especially for the price. I'm not sure I could get past the looks though.

They had a clean sheet of paper and they came up with a fugly clown mobile. Very disappointing to say the least. Not a fan, not a buyer.

Since it's only a $100 refundable deposit, I ordered the top end version. Plus it will be two years before that version is produced. Maybe by then Tesla can fix the glass breaking issue.

    Nope not anymore. Design Fail.
Features are great, but there is a REASON overall style has not changed in a hundred years. I hate to say it but Rivian has this one right and Tesla dropped the ball.

This would be why JB Straubel left the company. Disagreement over the truck design.

    Design is new and different.
My first thought was wtf. By the end I love it. Put down a deposit and my wife was giving me a hard time because the Tesla site kept crashing while I got a reservation.
I thought they would do nore of a Mars rover design. This is actually close to a pencil drawing I saw months ago.

The design is off putting to be honest. However, I can't let my username go to waste...

So yeah, I will be reluctantly buying one. I've made my bed now I have to lay in it.

You need a "Yes, in spite of seeing it" option.

This truck is hideous. I am so disappointed in the design of this vehicle. Ugh. It is so so so bad. I guess I'll look at the Rivian.

The design is an extreme letdown. The specs are there. But not interested in the slightest. Reminds me of a delorean, might as well have gullwings, lol.

I’ve owned and currently own many trucks including that nice f150 they pulled around during the unveiling. Of course I’m ordering one. The future is calling.

Same here. I just bought a 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro. I was so looking forward to the Tesla truck. So disappointed. The #cybertruck is #fugly.

Isn't it more like 3 years?

It says late 2022 which really means early 2023.

I will buy, but the first thing I will do is to wrap it.

Lamborghini and Jeep Wrangler pull-off angular design lines by offering colorful paints.

In fact, if I were Tesla, I would skip the traditional paint job on this Cybertruck, and offer only wraps with different colors (or even funky graphics.) When the wrap is scratched (it's a truck after all) it can be replaced easily and inexpensively.

    Just a thought.
