Porsche Taycan vs Model S

I for one am very please Porsche released an EV, and the competition for Tesla is great. Tesla's mission is to accelerate transition to sustainable energy, and Porsche's taycan is evidence of this. (related to the mission of tesla: I hope tesla can bring that solar cell price down.)

That being said, knowing how competitive Elon is, i'm sure they will get the model S tuned to match the taycan, and waiting for the roadster on (or hovering a little bit above) the 'ring...

that Porsche 1/4 mile time (10.65) seems to tie a model S Raven with the proper settings. The germans seems to have a problem with getting the fastest times out of the Tesla . . .

Would people stop posting that tired old German garbage link (launch mode not engaged+ low SOC) . Both of those cars have run 10.5 independently, Im fine with that. I'm talking about ......

There aren't any drag strips in Germany and the temperatures in all these races have probably been around 10°C Obviously you don't get DragTimes numbers under those conditions.

Who gives rats ass about Germany? Theres a 1/4 or 1/8 mile drag strip in every county inside the U.S.

THIs thread is funny. if the tesla won everyone would have been like "woohoo!" since the porsche won everyone's like "omg, why this why that. if this, then that". ROFL.

The people bashing Porsche or making excuses sound like ICE owners who are sore they lost a drag race to an EV. There is always someone who is faster. Saying that it is too expensive, too small, or has too little range is silly.
