Portable charger recommendations?

    I need to store my roadster at a friends house for a few months. They don't have an electric car with a charger we could use for my Roadster.

    Here are the details/requirements:

    * I don't have the yellow cable that came with the roadster for this purpose
    * speed of charging doesn't matter, won't be driven much
    * 110/15A - they won't have a dedicated high voltage/amperage line
    * will likely sit outside the garage, so will need to run an extension cable
    * I have adapters for J1772 and the current Tesla plug

    Sure, there are plenty of chargers around (all the schools here have free charging now), but I'd rather give them the option of simply leaving it plugged in at home.

    Any advice?

    I have a yellow charge cable that I could loan to you. I'm in Sunnyvale. But be aware that when using an extension cord you may get fault 937, "Charge Problem Extension Cord Detected" (or in debug mode, "DMC FW: Line UnderVoltage fault").

    Find another garage; this location sounds crappy.

    and install ovms before you leave so you can monitor your car and state of charge from app.
