When I am in China, and my Model S is in Hong Kong, the Tesla app shows the position wrong.
GPS in China is offset for some reason, not sure if it's the USA NAVSTAR that does it to annoy China, or it is China that does something to annoy the US. Or maybe it is because of different map datums (WGS84 vs PZ2000).
In any case:
Tesla app shows my car about half a mile to a mile wrong.
VisibleTesla shows the position exactly right.
Thoughts, anyone?
In case my car was stolen, this could hinder or delay the recovery of the car.

UPDATE:
It seems the Tesla app uses a Chinese map provider when the phone is in China (not where the car is located, but the phone). Hence the problem is probably WGS84/PZ2000 related. As many internet services are blocked or slowed in China, I guess the Tesla app will automagically switch to the Chinese vendor when in China. To suit the Chinese owners of the Model S.
I wonder if China is the only market where WGS84 and Google Maps isn't used. Maybe when Russia some day comes into the world of Tesla Motors?
