Supercharger - Jersey City, NJ - Mall Drive West

Well there's 20 of them and are all the way on the other end and I've never seen anyone park close to them. I'll go check them out on Saturday before my Black Panther viewing :)

It will likely not be a problem for now, but could get interesting around big shopping days, like the christmas holiday season. At the Garden State Plaza, one of the biggest issues plaguing the Tesla showroom is Tesla owners using the parking area where they keep their demo cars to get a convenient spot close to an entrance, and convenient super charging. They have started using "pedestal signs" to block each spot because people were showing up, parking there, connecting to the super chargers and then going into the mall to shop. Sadly, too many people in this area have self entitlement issues.

BTW, if you are going to the mall on Saturday, dont forget to get your $1 discount. Stop by the guest services desk (next to elevator in the middle of the mall) and get your parking ticket stamped by showing your DL with a local JC address. It's only $1, but it only takes a few seconds.

Happy days!! Thanks for the info! Can anyone confirm that they're actually operational? As of now, they're still not showing up on Tesla's supercharger map.
Yes. I charged yesterday. I love the new urban chargers...50 minutes and I charged from 40 miles to 210 miles. Just perfect. The only issue the discount for resident. I got the ticket stamped but I still pay the full amount $2.50. They said it happens..No big deal...Love it

Charger on left has really long cable. Why?

Stacked parking right?

Personally, Unless you live at the Oakman I can't see any reason why the 1st St chargers would be attractive. As I understand it the garage is:

1) Expensive
2) Valet and stacked
3) Tight

Am I missing something? Less than a 1/2 mile away is Newport Center Mall. It is also pay for parking but appears to be about half the price or less and has 20 stalls right on the first floor where you park yourself like a normal SC charge station (See my pics above)...cost me $1.50 for an hour of parking. Even though Newport Center does not yet show up on my console, it is open and ready to roll. Seems to me based on these threads and the pics that 1st street is too little, too late. I have never seen such a crowded, inaccessible SC point. BTW, I have nothing to do with either location but if you are not familiar with Jersey City, trust me, you want to go to Newport. Thoughts?
