Possible location - Renfrew, ON

Found a document stating that the town of Renfrew was discussing the likely possibility of a Supercharger at the Tourist information centre of Renfrew (190 Mask Rd, Renfrew, ON K7V 3Z4). The document states that the town agreed for a Supercharger at the tourist centre (main choice). Don’t know when the Supercharger construction will begin but I’m guessing next year.

A cold walk in winter, but there are crosswalks from that location across to a mall with some dining.

PS Aside: in a Streetview image from the nearby intersection there is a white Chevrolet Volt.

But this news is from a meeting that was about nine months ago and it does not appear that construction has started.

Renfrew would be great. I passed through there back in October. In planning the trip, I contemplated staying the night there as there seems to have a nice B&B just a few blocks from the Metro store which has an L2 charger. Ended up staying in Arnprior instead, which was quite nice (another Tesla owner let me use the charger in his garage). But a SuperCharger in Renfrew would make that town a great place to stop.

That coming soon pin has been there since last summer at least(maybe longer) and it use to say 2018, I also really want this supercharger

Anyone able to confirm this? Is the site confirmed? This would definitely open up the Ottawa -> Sudbury corridor.

Not really, I need it for a cottage we visit in the summer that is an hour NW of Renfrew off the 60.

Well for anyone interested in this SC, I swung by the proposed Renfrew location a couple of days ago and so far there is no activity that suggest construction is coming any time soon.

I hear you, we head to Hunstville some of the time as well and take the 60. For now you can do a luchtime top up at either Greystone(PlugShare - Find Electric Vehicle Charging Locations Near You) or CouplesResort(PlugShare - Find Electric Vehicle Charging Locations Near You) and if you start with 95%+ you would have extra buffer for piece of mind.

Thanks for this. I kept an eye on it when passing by this summer in our ICE. When this one is open, a whole lot opens up for us in our S60!
