Indeed it does, but somewhat pointlessly if the phone is inside with BT on, because anyone can then walk up and press the door handle and it'll unlock for them (tested and confirmed).

Ah, ok. I thought if you locked the car with the key card the phone inside wouldn’t unlock it, but apparently that isn’t the case.

I have a Toggle Bluetooth app on my phone and also as a corner app on the lockscreen. Saves a lot of time when I go surfing.

The car has no way to tell if the BT signal from the phone is inside or outside the car since BT can travel 20-30 feet in some cases.
Normal passive entry/smart key systems can tell if a fob inside or outside since they are pretty short range, easily blocked, and have multiple receivers around the vehicle to tell where the key is.
But they should add that as a safety feature to temporarily disable phone keys until the next unlock if the car was locked with the key card.

Correct. I should have said if the phone is within Bluetooth range, whether it’s inside or outside the car.
Having it on wifi hotspot to allow car to update when no other wifi available.
