Possible to order now but delay delivery until January to lock in FSD price?

My wife and I need to wait until mid to late January to take delivery of a Model X w/ FSD. Is it possible to place an order before the FSD increase to lock-in the current price but then delay delivery until then?

You should consider carefully what you plan to use the FSD for, if maybe autopilot is sufficient, and if maybe a monthly subscription would be more practical. The car probably will not drive FSD empty (without driver) still for a few years to come. Also compare this wait time to how long you plan to keep your new car.

Probably. I think it is worth a try. Check with your service advisor. Might depend on how savvy they are.

Found verbiage in the order agreement stating...

> For new vehicles, if you do not take delivery within six (6) months of our first attempt to notify you, Tesla may cancel your order and keep your Order Fee.

I did this last week. It was no problem. They make a note on your account when you want to take delivery.
