I am a conservative fellow and would usually not debate issues of preventive maintenance, but after trying to schedule my 3rd annual service and finding out it really amounts to $475 for new wiper blades, new key fob battery, and an inspection, I'm having a hard time justifying it. I have the tires rotated regularly at America's Tire so I could benefit from an alignment check, but all my tires are wearing evenly at 65,000 miles. No reason to suspect poor alignment. Plan on replacing tires at 3/32. No other general issues so far, even after rolling past the 50,000 mile mark. Still on original 12-volt battery. Don't need a new key fob battery or wiper blades. Basically, looking to get a quick once-over and sign off that everything is in working order, and save that $475 for the next thing that actually breaks. Has anyone successfully scheduled just an inspection before? How much did it cost?
