Hello: I've been eagerly waiting for my Model S. I confirmed my order on Apr 21, started production on May 12 and completed production on May 20. I received a strange email from my delivery specialist today. My car shows "in transit" on the mytesla website for the last 3 days. He wrote that the car is due to arrive at the Service Center next Tue (May 26). I was ecstatic to learn that the car was arriving a bit earlier than planned. However he wrote "Normally I like to have the vehicle on site for three days prior to delivery to give us ample time to inspect and detail. Because of this, there may be a slight risk that we need to push back the delivery by a day or two". This really sank my heart. I've heard that the Model S are put through rigorous QC checks before leaving Fremont. Is another 2-3 day inspection necessary after arriving to the Service center before I take delivery?? Is this normal? What should I do? Can I take delivery as soon as it arrives? Or should I wait the extra 2-3 days until the extra inspections are done??
