Plaid has 22 fewer rated miles per the configurator. I'm guessing that this is a result of the extra weight/extra power of the third motor (ignoring range impact of the driver constantly flooring it to take advantage of the 1.1s faster 0-60....)? And of course the Plaid+'s much increased range (and much longer delivery time) is a result of the new battery packs.
I was also curious from Model S owners about the impact of the 21" rims vs the stock 19" rims. I remember the configurator used to indicate the reduced range if you selected the larger rims, but it doesn't now. Would a ~10% range hit minimum be expected, probably?
Super excited either way, upgrading from a white 2018 Model 3 AWD to a Midnight Silver Model S Plaid. With the chrome delete it looks amazing.
