Powder coat wheels black, gunmetal or....?

Powder coating the lug nuts creates an issue if you need to remove the lugs (tire replacement, repair). The powder coat adds additional size to the lug, and sockets may not fit correctly, or if forced, damage the coating. I'd suggest going with the covers, which are removed for service, and don't get damaged like powder coated lugs will...

Hmmmm- good point- maybe just spray them the same color as the powder coat.... PPG has paint that matches their powder coat colors...
 
The standard black lug nut covers from Tesla are more of a matte carbon black and work nicely with either gun metal or black rims.

$20 for 20 covers. They may get a a bit scuffed when pulling out for tire changes etc so best not to paint.
 
I bought a set of original Turbines for my winter tires and had them also done in a gunmetal grey, with a lot of shine. Looks great! IMG_0533.jpg
 
Just got the wheels back from the powder coating shop. Went with Prismatic Powdercoat Cadillac Grey. Lots of metallic flake. Being installed today. They even powder coated the center caps since they are aluminum covering the plastic cap
