Powder Coating and Red Calipers

Recently I sold two sets of Glossy Black Powder coated wheels to two fellow TMC members that were very happy with the purchase. I have been asked several times by many of you who did the work so I am posting his business card so those of you who live in the southern california can check his work out . The owner Luis Rodgriquez handles all Tesla customers hmself for quality control and special attention. I highly recommend his work. I know of many TMC members who have used his services and are very happy.

Luis is awesome! He did my wheels a custom gunmetal that's slightly darker and warmer tone than the stock grey. Work was great, price was awesome.

Text or call him. His prices are good and the workmanship awsome. I believe it depends on the type of wheels that need to be powder coated. Some customers bring in wheels with major curb rash also so he needs to repair them before the powder coating process.

+1 for what Mayo said - text or call him. For comparison though, mine were $440 to powdercoat all 4 and repair some rash on one (Slipstream 19's). Included mounting, balancing, etc.

THANK YOU! Wow... very nice. How long did you have to leave your car with him? Any chance he has a set of loaner wheels to install while it's being worked on?

Ask him. That's how we did mine so I didn't have to leave my car at all, but I'm guessing it depends on what he has at the time you're ready.

I would assume it was an afterthought. He probably didnt have them on his rims when he dropped off his rims for powder coating. Luis at JR Wheels did my center caps and lugnut caps glosss black

I prefer the look of a contrasting cap on a dark wheel. It defines the center better and makes the spokes look like they're radiating from a center rather than just being a big flat grey disk IMO. It also ties in the chrome on the car. I was thinking of doing a chrome delete as I usually despise chrome, but I'm not really interested in the upkeep on vinyl for a daily driver in the SoCal heat.
