Powder-coating adds negligible weight to the wheel, as mentioned above.

I got mine done at Exoticar-LA in Santa Monica, $175/wheel (includes unmounting & balance). I had them powder coat the hubs for $50/cap, just in case i put the hubs back on for long trips. Ask for Rich, great guy.

Where about in SoCal are you located? I'm in San Diego and am looking to powder coat my 19" Gemini wheels. However, am looking for a shop that will do the full job -- remove the tires, powder coat and put the tires back on the wheels. Can you point me in the right direction, please?

I'm good. Just had my stock Gemini wheels coated with a spray-on vinyl or wrap. I'll see how durable it is but the wheels look really nice!

Hi, just to contribute my experience. I went for paint, it's cheaper solution. The look is good, but it won't last. It's very easy to come off, so you have to retouch all the time. I guess next time I would go for coating.

Are your centre caps Tesla or were they also coated? My guy said he can only cost metal caps not plastic.
